Mudsplash Studios is a playful stationery and illustration brand founded by illustrator Kacey Schwartz. After a few years of making loved ones smile with holiday cards featuring festive animal friends and loads of gingerbread, she launched the “cuter than necessary” line of greeting cards in San Francisco in 2015. Fueled by coffee, croissants, and a generous serving of toddler giggles, our small operation is now based near Raleigh, North Carolina.

Our bright and cheerful designs capture sweet moments shared by charming characters with a penchant for sugary treats. Kacey loves to include visual puns and signature unexpected details that cause a second round of laughter when taking a closer look.

In addition to designing greeting cards, Kacey has worked with clients to develop original characters, packaging illustration, and children’s art for games and books.
